Mahindra Conveyor System Pvt. Ltd. is based out at Gat No. 316-319 on the Pune-Paud Road. We are near Pirangut, which most people know as the industrial hub on this side of the city. The road continues towards Ambadvet and Darawali. It is quite a distance from the main city, so the air is a bit fresher here, though it gets very dusty with all the construction and trucks passing by. Our facility is quite large because we need the space for the conveyor parts and the assembly. You can hear the sound of metal clanging and machines running from the moment we start in the morning. It is a very practical environment. We have a lot of workers who commute from the nearby villages. The office part of the building is just a few rooms with desks and a lot of technical drawings pinned to the walls. We spend a lot of time looking at those drawings and talking to the guys on the floor. The Pune-Paud road can be a bit dangerous with the heavy traffic, so we are always careful about the timing of our deliveries. We have a small canteen area where everyone eats their lunch together. It is not a fancy corporate headquarters; it is a place where we do hard work every day. We have been at this site for a while now and we know the landscape pretty well. It is a tough business but we just keep at it.
