Mahalakshmi Enterprises is situated right in the heart of Kummari Basti in Boduppal. If you know the Uppal area, you know it’s a place where people live and work side by side. Our address is 2-10-140/2, and it’s a modest building that fits right into the neighborhood. We don’t have a big sign with flashing lights, just a small nameplate by the door. Inside, it’s a bit cramped because we have a lot of stock piled up, but we know where everything is. It’s a family-run kind of vibe here even for those of us who aren't related. We usually have the radio playing softly in the background while we work through the daily list of tasks. The local tea seller stops by every morning, which is a bit of a highlight for the crew. We deal with a lot of local folks and some from further out in the city. Things can get a little hectic on Mondays when everyone wants their orders at once, but we just take it one step at a time. We aren't trying to change the world, just trying to provide for our families and keep the customers coming back by being honest. It’s work and we take pride in just showing up and doing it well every single day. Usually, by the time we close the shutters, the street is getting quiet. We head home and do it all again the next day.
