Star Packaging Industries

Down here on Road No 15 in IDA Nacharam, things move pretty fast. Most days it’s just the sound of the machines and the tape guns going off. We’ve been at P No A 28/1/20 B for a while now, and the space always feels a bit smaller than it did the day before. Packaging is one of those things nobody thinks about until they need it, but it’s what keeps us on our feet from early morning until the sun goes down. The trucks start lining up outside and we have to get everything stacked and ready. It gets hot in the summer, especially with all the cardboard around, but we just keep the fans going and carry on. There isn’t much time for sitting around talking. We mostly focus on making sure the boxes are strong enough and the sizes are what people asked for. Sometimes a machine breaks down and we spend half the afternoon covered in grease trying to fix it ourselves because waiting for a mechanic takes too long. It’s an honest living in a busy industrial area. You see the same faces every day at the tea stall nearby. We aren't trying to change the world or anything, just making sure things get wrapped up right so they get where they’re going without falling apart. It’s a lot of physical work, but it feels good at the end of the day when the last truck finally leaves.
