Asian Cement Products

We’ve been here near Dhoraji Road for quite a while now. If you drive along National Highway 23, you will probably see our place. It is a busy spot with trucks coming in and out all day long. My father started this and now we just keep things moving. We make different types of cement items. It’s heavy work, mostly out in the sun, but that is how it goes. The yard gets pretty dusty when the wind picks up from the highway side. We usually start early in the morning before it gets too hot. There are about ten of us working here most days. We have got some old machinery that makes a lot of noise, but it still works fine. People from around the area stop by to ask about prices or just to see what we have stacked up. Sometimes the rain slows us down because the ground gets muddy near the gate. We don't have a big fancy office, just a small room with a desk and some chairs where we handle the paperwork. It’s mostly just hard work and making sure the loads are ready when the drivers show up. We see a lot of the same faces every week. It is a simple setup but it keeps us busy enough. We don't do much advertising; people just know we are here by the road. Most of our day is spent checking the molds or talking to the laborers about the next batch.
