Vaishnava Prints

You can find us at Plot No.27 in Gandhi Nagar, right across from the Kotwali. We are also in front of the Shankar Temple in Jawaher Nager, so we hear the devotional songs and the bells every single day. Vaishnava Prints has been here for a good while. Our shop is filled with the sound of printing presses and the clatter of people moving around on the street outside. We do all sorts of printing work, from small cards to bigger posters. The walls are covered with old samples we’ve done over the years, and they’ve started to fade a bit from the sun. It’s a busy spot because the police station is right there, so there is always some activity happening. We have a couple of old desks where we sit to check the proofs. Sometimes the ink doesn't dry fast enough because of the humidity, and we have to spread everything out all over the shop. It’s a bit of a mess sometimes, honestly. We usually have a lot of people dropping in just to ask for directions because we are such a visible landmark near the temple. We don't mind, we just point them the right way and get back to our work. It’s a good, honest way to spend the day. Sometimes we close up early on festival days when the temple crowd gets too large for us to work.
