About Milk Parlor – Agriculture & Farming in Unnao
We are out in Village Rampur, right near the Makhani Inter College. You can’t miss us if you are walking toward the school. The mornings are our busiest time because that is when the fresh milk comes in. You can hear the cans clinking and the students talking as they head to their classes. It’s a simple building with a small counter out front. We don’t have any fancy refrigerated displays, just the basic equipment we need to keep things cold and fresh. My father started this because there wasn't a reliable place for the villagers to get their daily supply. Now we handle everything from milk to a few other dairy items. The air around here usually smells like the countryside and the dusty road. We have a few benches outside where people sit and talk while they wait. Sometimes the power goes out, which makes things difficult, but we have a backup plan for that. We aren't looking to expand into a big chain. We like being part of Rampur and knowing the families around here. The college kids often stop by for a quick drink between their lectures. It’s a steady life and we don’t ask for much more. We just focus on getting the work done every morning before the sun gets too hot. Dealing with the cows and the supply takes up most of our energy.
