The area of Akrampur is where you will find Mayfair Leather Exports (P) Ltd. It’s a bit of a trek to get out here if you are coming from the main city, but it’s where we have our space. The roads in Akrampur can be a bit bumpy, especially after it rains and the mud starts to settle in the ruts. Our building is a simple one, mostly just a functional space for what we do. We don’t have any big flashy signs or neon lights out front. Most people who come here already know where we are located. There’s a small courtyard where we sometimes leave things out, and there is usually a stray dog or two sleeping in the shade of the wall. The windows are high up, so we don't get much of a view, but the light is okay for working. It stays pretty cool inside because of the way the building was put together. We have some old wooden tables and shelves that have been here since we started. It’s not a fancy office by any means. We spend our hours mostly focused on the tasks at hand, and there isn't much chatting until the mid-day break. Akrampur is a quiet enough place once you get off the main path. It’s just a regular workday for us, starting early and finishing when the light starts to fade over the fields nearby.
