L & T Ltd.

We spend most of our time out here at the 765 Kv substation in Dahi Chowki. It’s a busy spot under the Upptcl banner, and if you’ve ever driven past the Dahi Chowki area, you probably saw the tall towers and all those wires stretching out. L & T Ltd. has been on this site for a good while now. Most days it’s just about keeping things running and making sure the gear is working like it should. It gets really hot out here in the sun, but the work is steady and we have a good group. We handle the technical side of the substation. It's not flashy work, mostly looking at dials, checking connections, and making sure the power flow is okay. The team here knows the layout of this place like the back of their hands because we walk it every day. We have our small office on site where we deal with the paperwork and take our tea breaks when we can. Sometimes the dust from the road gets everywhere when the trucks go by, but that’s just part of being out in this part of town. People think a substation is just wires and metal, but there is a lot of coordination needed to keep it all stable. We’ve got a group of guys who have been doing this for years and we don't really bother with any corporate talk. We aren't here to do anything fancy, just our jobs.
