Devnah Creations

Our small shop is tucked away at Plot No-185 B in Sector-B. Being near Lucknow Public School in P D Nagar means we see a lot of students and parents walking by every morning and afternoon. We started Devnah Creations because we wanted something of our own to work on every day. Mostly, we deal with fabrics and making things that people actually need for their daily lives. It isn't a huge operation with a lot of employees. It’s just a few of us here sitting at the tables, working through our orders one by one. Sometimes the power goes out in the middle of the afternoon and we just have to sit and wait it out. The space is a bit crowded with rolls of cloth and thread everywhere, but we know where everything is kept. We don't have a big fancy showroom or anything like that to show off. People usually find us by word of mouth or if they happen to live in the neighborhood. We focus on the stitching and getting the measurements right, which takes up most of our daylight hours. It’s quiet work for the most part, though the sewing machines can get loud. We like being in this part of town because it feels like home to us. We’ve been at this spot for a bit now and have gotten used to the rhythm of the street outside. Nothing flashy happens here, just us working away every day at our benches near the school.
