Ace Exports Ltd.

You can find Ace Exports Ltd. at C- 2, Site 1 in the Industrial Area, right along the Kanpur Lucknow Highway. Being near the highway is great for the trucks, but it means we get a lot of noise and exhaust coming in. Our building is a typical industrial shed type of place. It’s big, drafty in the winter, and hot in the summer. We spend our time managing export loads. It’s a lot of physical work combined with keeping the records straight. We have a small office section, but most of the action happens on the floor where we pack the containers. We don't use any fancy software for everything; a lot of it is still done with paper lists and clipboards. It’s just easier that way for us. The people working here have been around for a long time, and we all know how the machines and the loading docks work. We aren't interested in looking like a corporate headquarters. We have grease on our hands and mud on our boots. We just want to get the orders filled and the trucks back on the highway as quickly as possible. There’s no big philosophy behind what we do. We just do the work that comes in and hope the weather stays clear for the loaders. It’s a practical, busy life out here, and we like the directness of the industrial area and the work we do every day. It is just how things are at Ace Exports Ltd on the edge of town.
