We're located in S-24 of the Shilp Arcade, right at Sardar Chowk. It’s a pretty central spot, and the arcade stays busy with people going to the different shops and offices around us. Our space isn’t huge, but it fits everything we need to run our export business without too much trouble. We spend the bulk of our time checking on orders and making sure the documentation is ready for the customs agents. It’s a lot of repetitive work, but it has to be done right to avoid any delays. Sardar Chowk is a landmark that most people know, so it makes it easy for our couriers to find us when they need to pick something up. The arcade can get a little noisy during the peak hours, but we just shut the door and get on with our tasks. We have a small corner for making tea, which is pretty essential for us during those long afternoons when the paperwork seems never-ending. We don’t go in for any of that corporate stuff; we’re just local people trying to make a living by helping move goods from one place to another. Sometimes the power cuts out for a minute and we have to wait for the backup to kick in, but that’s just part of working in this area. We know most of the other shop owners in the arcade, so there’s a bit of a community feel to the building.
