Ambedkar College

Ambedkar College is here in Fatikroy. It is a bit of a distance from the main town of Dharmanagar but we are right here in the Unakoti district of Tripura. The building has been here for a while and you can see it easily from the road. Most of the people working here are locals who live nearby and they know the families of the students who come to study. It gets quite humid during the rainy season and the campus stays busy from morning until the afternoon. We have the usual classrooms and an office where all the paperwork happens. It’s not a fancy place but it does the job for the kids around here who need to get their degrees without traveling too far away. The walls might need a fresh coat of paint soon, and the garden is mostly just grass that we try to keep neat when there is time. People stop by to ask about admissions or just to drop off documents. The staff sits in the main office and they deal with everything from exams to ID cards. Sometimes the power goes out, but we just carry on with the work. It is a simple setup and everyone knows everyone else. We try to keep things organized even when it gets a bit crowded during the exam months. It’s just a normal college where students come to learn and then head back home to their villages in the evening.
