Surinder Sawhney Associates might have Chandigarh in the name, but our actual office is located in Village and P.O. Doon. We are in the Tehsil of Ghumarwin, which is part of the Bilaspur district in Himachal Pradesh. Working in this part of the country is a lot different than being in a crowded city office. It is much more peaceful here, and the pace of life is a bit slower. Our workspace is a simple building that doesn't stand out much from the other structures in the village. We handle our daily business without much fuss or noise. Most of our days are spent dealing with files and talking to people from the surrounding area. We don't have any big corporate goals or flashy brochures. We just do the work that comes our way and try to be helpful. The view outside is a lot better than a brick wall in a city, which is something we all appreciate. The office is basic inside, with just the essential tools we need. There is no dress code, and we all know each other's families. It is a very personal and local way to run a business. We like the quietness of Bilaspur and the fact that we can focus on our tasks without the constant interruptions of city life. It is a humble, honest place to work every day.
