Shree Ganesh Brick Kiln

Shree Ganesh Brick Kiln is situated in the Village & Post of Nand Pur, right along National Highway No. 21. If you are driving on the highway, you can usually see the smoke or the stacks from a distance. Running a kiln is old-fashioned work, and it’s plenty hot. We spend our days tending to the fires and moving thousands of bricks by hand. It’s hard on the back, but we’ve been doing it this way for a long time. Nand Pur is a quiet village, but being on National Highway No. 21 keeps us connected to the rest of the district. We don't have a PR team or anyone to make us look bigger than we are. We are just a local group of workers trying to keep the fire going and the production moving. The weather is our biggest boss; if it rains, we have to scramble to cover everything up. If it’s too dry, the dust is a nightmare. We take things as they come and don't complain much. People from around the area know where to find us if they need building materials. We don't use fancy words to describe what we do. It’s just clay, fire, and a lot of sweat. We start early in the morning and finish when the light starts to fade. It’s a simple life out here near the highway, and we just keep at it day after day. There's always another load to bake.
