We are located in the Main Bazar area, tucked right behind the telephone exchange. It’s one of those spots that you have to know to find, as it’s not right on the main street. The official address says Main Bazar Behind Telephone Exchange twice, which is a bit funny, but that is where we are. Being behind the exchange means we are a bit shielded from the worst of the bazar noise, but it’s still a very busy part of town. We have been doing textiles for a long time. It’s what my family knows, and it’s what we do every single day. The building itself is nothing special, just a place for us to store and move fabric. Sometimes the piles get so high you can hardly see the walls. We don't have a big staff, just a few people who have been here forever. We don't use any fancy systems to keep track of things; we mostly just remember where everything is. People come by because they know we’ve been here for years. We aren't looking to grow into some huge corporation or anything. We just like having our own little corner in the Main Bazar. Some days it rains and the street outside gets messy, but we just keep the doors open and wait for the next person to walk in. It’s a slow and steady way of doing things. We don't have a grand plan. We just sell textiles and try to keep the shop running.
