Opening up the shutters at Palika Bazar is how the day begins for us. Our place is right on Una Nangal Road, which is pretty easy to find since it's so close to Indra Ground. The traffic picks up fast in the morning, and you can hear the scooters buzzing by all day long. We handle a lot of the outdoor displays and signs you see when you're driving around this part of town. It’s a lot of physical work, honestly. We spend half our time climbing on things and the other half trying to get the prints to look right. My desk is usually a mess of old receipts and coffee stains. We don't have one of those shiny corporate offices you see in the city. It’s just a practical room with a few loud fans to keep the heat away. Sometimes the dust from the road gets in, but we just wipe it off and keep going. When there’s a big event at the ground, the whole street gets packed, and we end up helping people with directions more than doing our actual work. We’ve been here for a good while now, so the neighboring shopkeepers usually stop by for a chat. We share tea from the guy around the corner when it's quiet. It’s a simple way to make a living, and we just take the jobs as they come through the door.
