Mahalaxmi Rice Mill

Mahalaxmi Rice Mill is located right near the Gaushala in Dahod. You can usually tell you’re close by the smell of the grain and the sound of the machines running. We’ve been milling rice here for a long time now. It’s a family-run kind of feel, even though we have a few employees helping out. The area is fairly quiet, mostly locals and farmers coming by with their harvests. Dahod is a good place for this kind of work, and being near the Gaushala makes it easy for people to find us. Inside the mill, it’s usually quite loud and there’s dust in the air, but that’s just how it is with rice. We spend our days checking the quality and making sure the machines are greased up and working right. We don't have a big marketing department or anything like that. Most of our customers are folks we’ve known for years. We just focus on getting the rice processed and bagged up for whoever needs it. It’s hard work, especially during the harvest season when the trucks are lined up outside. We take pride in just being a local mill that people can count on. It’s not a glamorous life, but it’s what we do and we’ve been doing it for a long time. We try to keep the gears turning every single day to keep up with the local demand.
