Shivambu International

Down in Mahesh Nagar, near P.O. Oel in Una, that is where Shivambu International is based. It is a beautiful part of Himachal Pradesh, though we are usually too busy working to look at the mountains much. We have a decent-sized setup here where we handle all our production and shipping. The air is a bit fresher than it is in the big cities, which is a nice perk for the staff. We have been operating out of this area for a long time. It is a mix of office work and hands-on labor in the back. We have many people from the local village working with us, so it feels more like a community effort than a corporation. We are not trying to be some giant entity. We just want to make sure our products are solid and that they get to where they need to go on time. Sometimes the roads in Himachal can be tricky, especially during the monsoon season, so shipping things out takes a lot of planning. We spend a lot of time on the phone with drivers and logistics people to get it right. Our workspace is practical, with lots of storage, some heavy machinery, and a small office for records. It gets very cold in the winter, so we drink a lot of tea to stay warm while we pack the boxes. It is a quiet life in Una, but we stay busy.
