We’ve been here at Thanapipadi for quite a while now. Running Girnar Herbal isn't always easy, but it keeps us busy. Most days start early because there is a lot to do with the plants and getting things ready. It's a quiet area mostly, which helps when you're working with natural stuff. People around here know where we are, right in the village. We handle the herbal side of things, sorting through what comes in and making sure it goes out to the right places. It is just a small team of us. Sometimes the weather makes things a bit slow, especially when it rains hard, but we manage. We aren't a big factory or anything like that. It is more of a local operation. We spend a lot of time checking the stock. You learn a lot about how these things work just by being around them every day. It’s a lot of manual work, lifting bags and packing stuff up. We don’t have fancy machines for everything. Mostly it’s just hands-on effort. People ask why we stayed in Thanapipadi, and honestly, it’s just where we started. It makes sense for the kind of work we do. There’s no rush like in the city. We just get on with it, day by day. Every season brings different herbs, so the work changes throughout the year. It’s okay work, keeps us connected to the land. We just try to keep things moving and get the orders out.
