Gir Vikas Mandal

We are located right in the Ridhdhi-Sidhdhi Complex, which most people around here know because it is just opposite the main vegetable market. It stays pretty noisy during the mornings when the trucks come in, but we like being where the action is. Our space in the Khadi Gramodhyog Sankul is where we spend most of our daylight hours. It isn't a huge office, just some desks and shelves filled with papers and samples. We started this because there was a need in the community, and we just kept going. Some days the fans don't work right, and we have to open the windows to catch a breeze from the street. Usually, you will find a couple of us sitting here talking to visitors or checking on the latest batch of goods. We don't have a big fancy reception area. If you come by, you might have to move a stack of books to find a chair. That is just how things are here. We try to keep things moving and help out whoever walks through the door. The vegetable market across the way means there is always a crowd nearby. Sometimes the smell of fresh produce drifts in. We are just local people trying to make things work in this little corner of the city. We have been here for a good while now and know most of the shopkeepers nearby. There is always someone dropping by for a quick chat or to ask for a bit of help with something.
