Dalmia Cement Bharat Group

Our location is out at the 16Kilo mark in Jamuna Nagar, which is part of the Dima Hasao district. It is a bit of a drive to get out here, but it is where we have set up the Dalmia Cement Bharat Group operations for this area. The landscape around here is quite different from the flat plains. We deal with the hills and the winding roads every day. Sometimes the weather makes the transport a bit tricky, especially when the heavy rains start and the roads get muddy. We have a basic setup for storing the cement and an area where the trucks can turn around. It is mostly outdoor work, except for the small shed where we keep the records. We don't have many neighbors out this way, so it is usually just us and the drivers. The air is a bit fresher here than in the city, but the work is just as hard. We spend the morning unloading and the afternoon getting everything ready for the next day. It is a quiet place to work, but we stay busy enough. There are no fancy signs or big lights. People know we are here at 16Kilo, and that is enough for the builders in the district to find us. We just keep the bags stacked high and wait for the next delivery to arrive from the main plant. It takes patience to work in these hills.
