Our place is out in the G.I.D.C area in Valsad, specifically at Plot No. 1953. If you know the industrial estate, you know it's a lot of heat and heavy machinery everywhere. We have been here for a long stretch of time. The yard is usually full of steel stock that we move around depending on what the orders look like for the week. It’s not a quiet place. There is always the sound of a truck backing up or the guys moving metal around. We keep a small office on the side of the plot where we handle the registers and talk to the drivers. It gets pretty dusty out here, especially during the dry months when the wind picks up across the open plots. We don't bother with anything flashy. The walls could probably use a new coat of paint, but we are more worried about keeping the inventory straight. Usually, the day starts with checking what arrived overnight and seeing what needs to go out by noon. It's a lot of physical work and staying on top of the numbers. People come to us because we are right here in the middle of the industrial zone. It’s just a practical spot for a steel business to be. We keep it simple and just do the work we need to do. Every day is a bit different but the steel always keeps moving.
