Bandhavgarh Jungle Lodge

Our lodge is out in P.O. Tala in the Bandhavgarh area. It’s a quiet place compared to the big cities. We are right near the jungle, so you hear birds and monkeys all the time. Sometimes even a deer walks by the fence. We have a few rooms and a main area where everyone eats together. It’s not like a big hotel with elevators and carpets. Everything here is made of stone or wood and fits in with the trees. The roads getting here are a bit bumpy and dusty, especially in the dry season. We live here and run the place with a small team from the local village. We spend most of our time making sure the gardens are okay and the rooms are tidy for guests. People come here because they want to go into the tiger reserve. We wake up very early, before the sun, to get the jeeps ready. In the evenings, we sit outside and talk about what everyone saw in the park. It gets quite dark at night because there aren't many streetlights around Tala. We use lanterns and small bulbs to see. It’s a simple life out here in the 484661 district. We grow some of our own vegetables in the back. If you want luxury, this might not be it, but if you want to be close to the forest, we are right here. It’s just a lodge in the woods where things move slowly and the air is fresh.
