Asst. Engg.

I’ve been working out of this spot at Q.No. G/76 in the Jamuna Colliery for a while now as the Asst. Engg. It is a double story building which is pretty common around here in the Anuppur district of Madhya Pradesh. The pin code is 484444 if you are looking for it on a map. Life here is mostly about the work at the colliery and keeping things moving. The office isn't anything special to look at, just a practical space where we handle the day-to-day engineering tasks that come up. You’ll usually find me buried under some papers or out checking on something that needs fixing. The neighborhood is quiet mostly, filled with other people working the same shifts. It gets dusty because of the mines, but that’s just part of living in this part of MP. I try to keep the desk organized but with so much going on, it’s a bit of a struggle. We don’t have a big team or fancy equipment, just what we need to get the job done right. People stop by sometimes to discuss the local projects or just to see how the work is progressing. It’s a straightforward life here in the colliery quarters. We just focus on the technical side of things and try to make sure everything runs as it should without too much trouble. It’s not a corporate setup, just me and a few others doing our bit.
