Sai Electronics

Sai Electronics is up on the first floor of Silver Point, specifically at Shop No. 211. We are right beside the Union Bank here in the Gidc area. Being on the first floor means we get a bit of a view of the street, but it also means we have to carry all the broken TVs and heavy gadgets up the stairs ourselves. The shop is filled with small drawers that are labeled with different names for capacitors and resistors. It’s a bit of a maze if you don't know the system. We have a long workbench where we spend most of the day with a soldering iron in hand. The smell of melting wire is something we are very used to. Sometimes the fans on the ceiling squeak a bit, but we just ignore it while we focus on the tiny parts. The Union Bank next door is always busy, so we see a lot of people coming and going all day long. We don't have a fancy waiting area, just a couple of plastic chairs near the door. Most people just drop off their electronics and come back later. We write the customer's name on a piece of tape and stick it to the device so we don't get things mixed up. It’s a quiet kind of work that takes a lot of patience. We have been at Silver Point for years now and we like being part of the Gidc community.
