Ullal Sunder Bendoorwell & Co.

Our place is a bit of a mouthful to find if you aren't from around Mangalore. We are Ullal Sunder Bendoorwell & Co., located near the Shri Mookambika Temple in Kolya, Someshwara P.O., Kotekar. It’s a coastal area, so the air always feels a bit salty and humid. The office is near the K.E.B, and it’s a very local spot. We have been here for years. The building is older and has that traditional feel you find in this part of Karnataka. It’s quiet compared to the city center. We can often hear the sounds from the temple nearby. We don't have a big corporate structure. It’s more of a family-style environment where everyone knows each other. Our desks are old wood and we have stacks of ledgers and files everywhere. The pace is steady but not rushed. We take a long break in the afternoon when it gets really humid. We usually have some local snacks and tea while we talk about the day’s tasks. It’s a very grounded way to work. We don't use much technology beyond what’s absolutely necessary. Most of our visitors are people we’ve known for a long time. It’s a friendly atmosphere, and we like being part of the Kolya community. The garden outside has some coconut trees that provide a bit of shade. It’s just our regular workplace where we’ve spent many years together. You can see the temple from the front step, which is a nice view when we step out for air.
