Om Traders

You can find Om Traders up on the first floor of Sant Chellaram Market. We are in Shop No. 19, right at Siru Chowk in Ulhasnagar. The market is always a bit chaotic, especially in the afternoons when everyone is out shopping. Getting up to the first floor is sometimes a squeeze because the stairs are narrow and people are always carrying bundles of stuff. Our shop isn't very big, but we make use of every inch of space we have. We’ve got shelves stacked all the way to the ceiling. It’s a busy atmosphere here in Ulhasnagar, and we’ve been part of it for years. We know the other traders in the market, and we all get along for the most part. We don't spend money on fancy brochures or things like that. If someone needs something, they usually just come to the shop and ask. We prefer doing business that way, face to face. It’s more personal. Sometimes the power goes out in the market, but we just light a few candles and keep going. That’s just part of working in an old market like Sant Chellaram. We aren't trying to impress anyone with a polished look. We just want to provide what people are looking for and keep the shop going for another day. It’s a lot of work but it keeps us on our feet and in the middle of things.
