Rajan Sweets

Rajan Sweets is located at Plot C-1, right across from Gopal Samaj and near the Vithalwadi Railway Station on the west side. It’s a very busy area because of the trains and the people coming and going from the station. We’ve been here for years, watching the neighborhood change around us. Our shop is small, but we make sure it’s clean and filled with what people like. Making sweets is a tradition for us. It’s a lot of stirring large pots of milk and sugar for hours. We don't use a lot of machines; most of it is done by hand because that’s how we learned. During festivals, the place gets absolutely chaotic. We have to bring in extra help and stay up late to make sure we don't run out of the popular items. We know most of the commuters who pass by every day. Some of them have been stopping in for a quick snack for ten years or more. It’s nice to be part of their daily routine. We don't bother with fancy packaging or big marketing campaigns. We think if the food is good, people will keep coming back. That’s how it’s always worked for us. The shop floor is often sticky, and the air is always sweet. It’s just a local business trying to do things the old-fashioned way without any shortcuts or big corporate ideas.
