Finding us can be a little tricky because we are located at Shop No. 7 in Mona Market, which is tucked right behind Gajanand Market. People often get lost and end up wandering around the main market area for a while before they spot our little sign. We’ve been in this spot for a few years now. The market is always crowded, and there’s a lot of shouting and bikes squeezing through the narrow lanes. Inside the shop, it’s a bit calmer, though we don’t have much space to move around once a few people come in at once. We keep the stacks of clothes quite high on the counters. Every morning starts with dusting everything off because the market gets so much soot from the traffic. We don’t have a fancy display or high-end lighting. We just use the basic tube lights that flicker once in a while. The back room is where we keep the extra stock and where we take our lunch breaks. It’s a bit cramped, but we make it work. Most of our day is spent unfolding things for customers and then folding them back up again. It’s repetitive work, but we like being in the middle of the market energy. We’ve known the other shopkeepers for years, so there’s always someone to grab a tea with when things are slow. We just keep our heads down and do our work.
