Millennium Plastics

Our factory is at H-217 in the Udyog Vihar Industrial Estate. We’re right across from Hotel Ambrosia, which is how most people find us if they get lost. Being near the Vithalwadi Railway Station means we hear the trains going by all the time. It becomes background noise after a while. The machines here are pretty loud, so we have to shout a bit to be heard when we’re standing near them. It’s a hot environment because of the molding processes, but we’ve got some big exhaust fans that help a little. The floor is always busy with bags of raw material and boxes of finished goods. We don't have a fancy showroom or anything like that. It’s just a workspace. Usually, there’s a truck parked out front being loaded up. We have a small staff and we all tend to do a bit of everything, whether it’s checking the machines or helping with the packing. The office is just a tiny room with a computer that’s always a bit dusty. We’ve been here for a good number of years now. You get used to the rhythm of the industrial estate and the smell of warm plastic. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s what we do. We just try to keep the machines running smoothly and make sure the orders get out on time without too much trouble. Sometimes things break down, and we just fix them and carry on.
