Social Soldiers Foundation

The Social Soldiers Foundation is located right opposite the Vishnoi Sabha in Gautam Nagar, Tanda Ujjain. It’s a pretty easy landmark to find if you’re in the area. We call ourselves social soldiers not because we’re in the military, but because we think the work we do for the community takes a bit of discipline and toughness. We are just regular people who decided to stop complaining about things and start doing something. Our office isn't anything special to look at, just a functional space where we meet up and plan our next steps. Gautam Nagar is a good place to be because we are right in the middle of everything. We spend a lot of time out on the streets of Tanda Ujjain, seeing what needs fixing or who needs a bit of a hand. We don't have a polished pitch or a fancy brochure to hand out. If you want to know what we do, you usually just have to watch us for a day. It’s a lot of legwork and talking to neighbors. We try to keep our overhead low so we can put everything back into the projects we run. Sometimes it feels like we’re not making a big dent, but then you see a small change and it feels worth it. We’re just here, doing our bit across from the Sabha, day after day.
