Shukla Brothers Tour & Travels

We are the Shukla brothers, and we have been running this tour and travel business out of the Vakankar Market for years. It is a decent area to work in, being right near the Baswara Petrol Pump. You can usually smell the petrol fumes when the wind blows toward us. Our shop isn’t very large at all, but we have managed to squeeze enough desks in for everyone to work. We have been established here in Ujjain for quite a long time now. Most of our days are spent talking on the phone or arguing with the drivers about their routes. It is a family thing, so we definitely have our disagreements about how to do things, but we always get the work done in the end. The market is always crowded, and finding a place to park is a total nightmare, but we like it here. People often stop by to ask about a trip after they finish filling up their tanks at the petrol pump. We handle local trips around town and some longer journeys too. We don't have any of those big corporate goals you hear about. We just want to make sure the work stays steady. My younger brother handles most of the bookings, and I spend my time looking after the vehicles and the maintenance. It is a lot of hard work keeping everything running, especially when it gets hot in Ujjain.
