We’ve been at Kanchan Vihar for a while now. Budhwaryia is a pretty busy part of Ujjain, so there is always something going on outside the door. My name is one of the owners and we handle travel stuff but also property deals on the side. People often come by after visiting Khandelwal Dharmshala, which is just nearby. It’s just a small office at number 7. Ujjain is the kind of place where you meet all sorts of people looking for homes or just a car to go to the next town. Some days are really slow and we just sit here, but other days we can’t even catch a breath. Property is a tricky business here because values change fast and you have to really know the streets and the people. And as for the travel side, well, that’s mostly for tourists or families heading out for weddings. We just sit in the office, drink some tea, and talk to whoever walks in. It’s definitely not a fancy place. The walls could probably use a new coat of paint if we ever find the time. But we know this area well. Being near the Dharmshala helps because people often get lost and ask for directions, and sometimes they end up needing a room or a ride. We don’t have a big staff at all, just a few of us making sure everything runs okay. Life in Ujjain moves at its own pace and we just move with it.
