Shree Krishna Bhakti Bhandar

We are located in Bada Sarafa, right near the Sati Gate on Gopal Mandir Marg. This area is always full of people coming to the temple. Our shop, Shree Krishna Bhakti Bhandar, has been here for a long time. We sell things people need for their daily prayers and rituals. There are lots of bells ringing and the smell of incense from the street. It’s a small shop but it’s packed with items. We have shelves full of small statues, lamps, and cloths. It’s a bit cramped when more than three people are inside. We know many of the regulars who stop by on their way to the temple. We don't do much fancy stuff here. We just sit on the floor or a small stool and wait for customers. Sometimes it gets very busy during festivals. We have to stay open late then. The stone floors are old and the walls could use a fresh coat of paint. But it feels right for where we are. We've seen kids grow up and start coming here with their own children. It’s a community thing. We don’t use any computers for our sales. We just write everything down in a book. It’s peaceful work most of the time. We have a little fan that barely works, but it helps on the hot afternoons. We share stories with the neighboring shopkeepers when it’s quiet. It is just how things have always been here in this part of Ujjain. We keep it simple.
