Raj Aluminium & Glass Works

Raj Aluminium & Glass Works is located at 93/2 on Arya Samaj Road. If you turn into Yogeshwar Tekri Ki Gali, you’ll find us easily. It’s one of those narrow lanes where things can get a bit tight if a big vehicle tries to come through. We spend our days surrounded by sheets of glass and lengths of aluminium. There is always the sound of a saw cutting through metal or the sharp noise of glass being trimmed to size. The floor usually has some scraps on it, no matter how much we sweep. It’s just the nature of the work we do. People from the neighborhood come to us when they need a window fixed or a frame made for their shop. We don’t have a big fancy showroom with lights. It’s a workshop, through and through. The walls have some old calendars on them and the desk is usually covered in measurements scribbled on bits of paper. Sometimes we work late into the evening when there’s a big order to finish, and the street gets quiet while we’re still at it. Working with your hands like this makes for long days, but it’s satisfying to see a pile of raw material turn into something useful. We’ve been in this spot for a while, and we know most of the other shop owners on Arya Samaj Road. It’s a decent place to work.
