Oasis Convent School Mahidpur

Oasis Convent School Mahidpur is located on Kumawat Gali in the Nayapura area. It’s on Rajendra Marg in Mehidpur, which is part of the Ujjain district. Finding us can be a bit tricky if you aren't from around here because the lanes can be narrow. The school is a central part of this little community. Every morning, the street fills up with children in their uniforms making their way to the entrance. It’s a modest building, and we’ve tried to make the best use of the space we have. There are classrooms on different levels, and the walls are decorated with some of the drawings the kids have made over the years. I spend most of my day making sure things are running smoothly. If a teacher is out, we have to shuffle things around quickly. It’s a lot of work, but we are used to the rhythm of it by now. The afternoon sun hits the courtyard directly, so we try to keep the kids in the shade when they aren't in class. We have a few computers and some books, but mostly it is about the interactions between the teachers and the students. People in Mahidpur know us well, and we see the same families coming back year after year with their younger children. We don’t have a lot of bells and whistles, just a solid routine and a commitment to showing up every day. It’s a simple, local school doing what it needs to do.
