We have been here on Ram Sahay Marg in Nagda for quite a bit now. People usually just call us the watch place on the corner. It gets pretty dusty out on the street some days, but we keep the shop tidy inside. Mostly, we just fix things that stop working or help someone pick out a new piece for their wall. It’s not a huge place, just a simple shop where we sit and work on small gears. Sometimes we get busy when everyone needs a battery changed at the same time, but usually, it's just quiet work. My father used to do this before me, and I just kept it going because I like the way the mechanical parts click. Nagda is a small town so you get to know everyone who walks through the door eventually. We don't have fancy displays or anything like that. Just some shelves and a workbench where the light is good. If you're walking down Ram Sahay Marg, you'll see our sign. It’s nothing special, just a place to get your timepieces sorted. Sometimes the clocks all chime at different times and it makes a bit of a racket, but we got used to it. We just keep our heads down and do the work. It’s been a long road, but we’re still here doing what we do every day. Dealing with tiny screws and springs requires patience, and we have plenty of that. It's just a living.
