Goenka Fabric Private Limited

We started Goenka Fabric Private Limited some years ago in Ujjain. Our building is at 67, Udhyogpuri, right on Hira Mill Road. It’s an industrial area, so there is always noise from other units nearby. We mostly deal with fabric and getting orders out to people who need them. The work is simple enough but takes a lot of time to get right. Sometimes the machines act up or the power goes out, but we just wait it out and start back up. We have a few guys who have been here since the start. They know the rhythm of the place. It isn’t a fancy office with big glass windows or anything. It’s just a workshop where we keep the rolls of cloth and handle the day-to-day tasks. Most of our day is spent checking the stock and talking to transport guys to make sure things move. Ujjain is a busy place, and being in the 456001 zip code area means we are right in the thick of it. People know us by the name and the location. We don’t do much advertising. Mostly, people just find us or hear about us from others in the trade. We just try to keep things moving and make sure the fabric is what people asked for. It’s hard work, and the days are long, but it’s what we know how to do. We just keep our heads down and work.
