Kanwal Hospital & Research Centre is located right over at Bafna Tower. If you know the Shaheed Park area on Varuchi Marg, you have probably seen the building. It is a busy place, especially in the early mornings when the shifts change and people start arriving for the day. The lobby usually has a few people waiting and the smell of floor cleaner is always there. We have doctors and nurses who have been working here for years, so everyone knows each other by name. It is not one of those massive corporate medical centers; it feels more like a local fixture in the neighborhood. The research side of things happens in the back rooms where it is a bit quieter. Sometimes the elevators are a little slow, but they get you where you need to go eventually. We keep the paperwork moving and try to make sure things run as smoothly as possible for the patients. Shaheed Park is very close by, so sometimes the staff go there for a quick break or a bit of fresh air during lunch. It is a practical setup. We have the usual equipment and the rooms are kept tidy. You might see some of us grabbing tea at the corner shop when we have a minute. Working in a hospital means things are always happening, sometimes all at once. We just handle it as it comes.
