Being right at the New Bus Stand in Kundapura means there is never a quiet moment for us at Sri Raktheshwari Travels. We’ve been here for a while now, watching the buses come and go all day long. It’s a noisy, busy place but it’s where all the action is. Our setup is pretty basic, just enough room for us to sit and talk to customers who are looking for a more private way to travel than the big buses. We get all sorts of people walking in, from tourists who are a bit lost to locals who need a ride for a wedding. We don't bother with fancy brochures or big ads. Most of our work comes from people just seeing our sign while they’re waiting for their bus. We keep our keys on a big rack behind the desk and try to keep the schedules straight, though it gets hectic during the festival seasons. The heat can be a bit much in the summer, sitting so close to the asphalt, but we have a fan that keeps things bearable. It’s a straightforward business. We provide cars, and people pay us to take them where they need to go. We’ve lived in Kundapura all our lives, so we know every shortcut and pothole in the district. It’s just us doing our thing in a busy corner of town. We don't overthink it, we just make sure the cars are ready when needed.
