Our place, Shilpa Tours And Travels, is located right on Mukambika Temple Road in Kollur. Being so close to the temple means we see a lot of pilgrims coming through every single day. It’s a very spiritual and busy place to be. We spend a lot of our time helping people who have traveled a long way to get here. Some need a ride to the railway station, and others want to see the sights around the hills. The office is just a small room near the temple, and it’s usually quite lively with the sound of temple bells and people talking outside. We started this because we saw how many people needed help getting around this part of Udupi. We aren't a corporate setup, just a local family trying to make a living. The hours can be long, especially during festivals when the crowds are huge and the traffic on Temple Road is at a standstill. We just try to stay patient and get everyone where they need to go safely. Our drivers know these winding hill roads better than anyone. We don't use any fancy sales talk. We just tell you what time we can pick you up and what the cost will be. It’s a simple way of doing things, but it’s worked for us for years. We like being part of the life here in Kollur and meeting visitors from all over the place. It keeps our days full.
