Sakfresh Fisheries Llp

Our base for Sakfresh Fisheries Llp is Shop No. 1D in Kodavoor Village, right by Malpe Port. Being so close to the water means our schedule is pretty much dictated by when the boats come in. Most of our work happens while most people are still asleep. It’s a wet, cold, and loud environment down at the port, but that’s where the action is. We deal with the daily catch, sorting through what the fishermen bring back. It’s hard on the hands and you’re constantly wearing rubber boots because there’s water everywhere. We aren't some polished retail store with bright lights and carpet. It’s a functional space meant for handling fresh fish quickly. Sometimes the weather is bad and the boats don't go out, which makes things quiet around here. Other days, it’s a total scramble to get everything processed and moved to the markets. We have a few guys who have been working with fish their whole lives, so they know exactly what they’re looking at. We don't spend money on fancy ads. Word gets around the village about what we have. It’s a simple way of living, honestly. The smell of the salt air is always there, and we just focus on getting the fish from the boat to the shop without any fuss. It is hard work, but we are used to the fish smell and the cold water. Every day is a bit of a gamble.
