If you head out to the Shivalli Industrial Area in Manipal, you’ll find us at number 26. That is where R M C Readymix operates from. Manipal is a busy place with all the students and hospitals, but out here in the industrial zone, it's more about the heavy lifting. We spend our days dealing with readymix concrete. It is straightforward work but it takes a lot of timing. You have to be careful with the mixtures and the delivery. The yard at 26 is usually full of activity from early morning. We aren't a big corporate office with glass walls; we are more of a dusty boots kind of place. That’s just the nature of the concrete business. The weather in Manipal can be a bit much sometimes, especially the heat, but the work doesn't stop. We have our routines and we stick to them. People usually find us because they need concrete for a project and they heard we are out here in Shivalli. It's a simple operation. We take the orders, mix what’s needed, and get it out the gate.
