You can find us at the Premier Royale building in Ananth Nagar. We are on the ground floor, unit 003, which makes it easy for people to drop by without having to hunt for us. Udupi is a good place to be, and this neighborhood is usually pretty calm most of the time. The shop itself isn't massive. We have the ovens in the back and a counter in the front where we keep the paperwork. The smell of baking flour and sugar is pretty much constant here. We started this because we liked making cakes, and now it’s become a full-time thing that keeps us busy from early morning. We don't have a big fancy storefront with neon lights. It’s a simple setup with a few shelves and a fridge for the ingredients. Most days we are covered in a bit of flour by noon. We handle everything ourselves, from mixing the batter to cleaning the trays at the end of the night. It’s a lot of standing on your feet and checking the timers. Sometimes the oven acts up, or we run out of a certain type of icing, but we just figure it out as we go along. It’s just a small local business trying to keep up with the orders that come in from the nearby streets. We don't have a big corporate strategy; we just bake what is needed for the day and hope for the best.
