Nandikeshwara Rice Mill

Nandikeshwara Rice Mill is located at 500, Idurkunhady Road. We have been working here for quite some time now, mostly just keeping the machines running to process the paddy that comes in from the local fields. It is a noisy place, and the air is always a bit thick with the smell of husks and grain. We don’t have any fancy office or a big team of people. It is just a few of us making sure the milling gets done properly so folks can take their rice home. The road outside can get a bit muddy when it rains, but the trucks still manage to make it through to us. Most of our days are spent checking the belts on the hullers or sweeping up the floor at the end of a shift. We see the same farmers every year during the harvest season. They pull up with their bags, we weigh them, and then the work starts. It’s a lot of heavy lifting and making sure the quality is okay for what they need. We don’t do much advertising because everyone around here already knows where we are on Idurkunhady Road. It’s just a regular mill doing regular work every day. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait around, but that is just how things go. We try to keep the equipment in decent shape so there aren't too many breakdowns during the busy months.
