Karnataka State Police

We operate out of Lalitha Sadan on Sultan Road, right in the Hejmady area of the state. This is where we handle the local police matters and general security for this section of the coast. The building itself is a bit of a landmark for the people who live around here. Being in the 574103 postal zone, we see a lot of locals coming in for various reasons, whether it's to file a simple report or just ask for some help with their official paperwork. It’s a very straightforward environment inside. We don't have many decorations on the walls, just the usual official notices and duty schedules posted up. The staff is mostly made up of officers who have been in the force for many years. We know the local roads and the different neighborhoods like the back of our hands. Sultan Road can get quite busy during the day, but we keep a close eye on things from our station post. It isn't exactly a glamorous job, and the office reflects that reality. It is just a place for duty and keeping things as orderly as possible for everyone. We don't use any big words to describe the work we do. We just show up for our shifts and try to make sure everything stays calm and quiet in Hejmady. If you ever need us, you just walk through the front door of Lalitha Sadan. We’re usually there around the clock, though the shifts change between the officers.
