You’ll find Karavali Tours & Travels located on Mangalore Road here in Karkala. We are pretty close to Mannagopura, which is a landmark most locals know well. Our little office sits right on the main stretch, so we see a lot of the traffic moving between here and the coast. We started this because we knew the roads around Udupi well and had a couple of decent vehicles to use. It’s not a glamorous job, mostly involves a lot of phone calls and checking the oil in the cars. We spend a lot of time talking to folks who need to get to the airport or just want a ride to a family function. The office is small and usually has a calendar on the wall with too many scribbles on it. We aren't big on technology, we prefer writing things down and talking to people face to face. It feels more real that way. Sometimes the rain makes the road outside a mess, but we still keep things moving as best we can. We've got a small group of drivers who have been with us for a while, and we all just try to get through the day without too many hiccups. It’s a simple life running a travel business in a place like this. We don’t make big promises, we just try to be reliable and show up when we say we will. Most of our customers are regulars who know us well.
