Ing Vysya Bank

Our bank branch is located in Mogaveerapete, which is a part of Udupi. If you know the area, you know it’s a place where everyone kind of knows each other. We are right here in the middle of it. The building is simple and we have been here long enough that people just know us as the bank on the corner. Inside, it’s usually humming with the sound of the fans and the small talk between the staff and the locals who come in to deposit money or check their accounts. We handle the daily banking stuff that everyone needs. Sometimes the internet is slow and we have to ask people to wait a bit, which isn't great, but everyone around here is usually patient. Udupi weather can be quite something, especially during the monsoon, so we often have people standing in our doorway just to stay out of the rain for a few minutes. We don’t have any of those modern glass walls or high-tech gadgets you see in the big city branches. It’s just wooden counters, some old chairs for people to sit on while they wait, and us doing the counting and the data entry. We stay busy with the local shopkeepers and families who have been banking here for years. It’s a steady pace of work and we like being part of the Mogaveerapete community. We just keep our heads down and get the banking done.
