Grasim Indu Ltd (Birla White)

We are located down in Kote Katapadi, which is near Udupi in Karnataka. It’s a beautiful part of the state, though it gets incredibly humid during the monsoon months. Our office for Grasim Indu Ltd (Birla White), specifically for the Birla White side of things, is right there in the local area. It’s not a high-rise building or a modern tech park. A sturdy building that handles the rain well is what we have. Most of us here speak the local language and have been around Udupi for a long time. The office is usually quite busy in the mornings. Paperwork and phone calls take up most of our time. Since we are near the coast, you can sometimes smell the salt in the air when the wind is right, though mostly it just smells like wet earth. No fancy lounge areas or high-tech coffee machines are found here. A small stove in the back where we make some tea is all we need. People around here are friendly, and we know most of our neighbors by name. Trying to keep things organized is a priority, but sometimes the files pile up when we get a lot of work at once. It’s a decent place to work, even if the fans are always running on high to beat the heat. Focusing on what needs to be done each day is how we get through. Getting home before the evening rains start is always the plan. That is life for us here.
