We run our operations out of Udupi, right here in the coastal part of Karnataka. It’s a place known for its temples and food, but for us, it’s where we sit and manage the classified ads. The office is pretty basic, just a few computers and a lot of phone lines that seem to ring at the most random times. We spend our days looking at listings, checking text, and making sure everything is ready for people to see. Being in Udupi means things move at a slightly slower pace than the big cities, which we don't mind at all. The rain during the rainy season is something else; it really pours down and makes the streets outside go all quiet. We mostly deal with people from all over India who want to post their ads, so we hear a lot of different voices on the phone every day. It’s a lot of typing and staring at screens, but we take breaks to walk around or get some local coffee. We don’t have a big corporate structure or anything like that. It’s just a group of us sitting in a room in Karnataka, trying to keep the website running and the ads updated. Sometimes the internet goes slow or the power cuts out for a bit, but we just wait it out and get back to it. It’s simple work, but it keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday without fail.
